Effective Communication
With effective communication, a student should be able to communicate clearly in writing, work groups, class discussions and presentations. Although talking is communication, students still need to listen carefully and take in what the presenter is saying.
Freshman Year: During my freshman year in my Human Geography class, students were to search a city in any country and plan a five-day vacation in that city. For this assignment, we presented our vacations to the teacher and fellow classmates.

Junior Year: My U.S. History "First 100 Years Timeline" PowerPoint is a strong example of effective communication. The PowerPoint clearly states why certain events in the United State's history are significant and is overall a useful way of presenting it's ideas.

Senior Year: In my Geology class, individual students had to research a certain layer of the Grand Canyon and present their research to the class. Having the Supergroup section, I had more to research and more to present than the other students. This assignment is a great example of Effective Communication as well.
